More than just an Ontario Fishing Vacation Destination

While fishing on the French River is an unforgettable experience all on its own, there are a wide range of fun and entertaining activities to be had at Crane’s Lochaven Wilderness fishing lodge.

If you’re a nature enthusiast, you’ll love hiking the marked trails of the island which lead to two sets of rapids. Boat tours, canoeing, paddle boating and swimming are great ways to enjoy the water. Or sit back and relax and put in some quiet time on your private sundeck and read a book or admire the view.

You also have full use of our recreation room which features a beautiful, large fireplace where you can sit and play board games or cards, build puzzles, play darts, tells stories or watch a DVD or satellite TV. You can also make use of the separate billiards rooms where you’ll find our 6” x 12” snooker table.

Twice a week our guests are treated to a get acquainted party and cookout on the sundeck on the front of the recreation center. One of our fun fish fry traditions includes someone jumping off the front deck (weather permitting, of course!).
